United-States

In 2014, statistic from National Institute Of Mental Health (NIMH) show that 17.3% of teens that had a major depressive episode were females, 5.7% were males. The age rate goes between 12 year old & 17 year old. We need to give them more support. We need to listen to them and help them find the cause of it. Depression is the most common mental health disorder in the United-States among teens and adults. 2.8 millions of youth age 12-14 had at least one major depressive episode in 2014. After a while if the depression is not under control it can bring to suicidal thoughts and unfortunately to the point of action. The suicide rates among youths aged 15 to 24 have tripled in the past half-century. For every youth suicide completion, there are nearly 400 suicide attempts. Each day, there's an average of over 5,240 attempts by young people between 7 and 12. Four out of five teens who attempt suicide have given clear warning signs. We need to look out for those signs; we don't want to lose another precious soul to suicide.
